It is gratifying to have been chosen to immortalize Joana and Orlando's wedding day.

A couple I had the pleasure of meeting and being able to be present on one of the most memorable days of their lives.

They have known each other since 2011, through a friend and social networks.

The first kiss was at the door of Joana's house, which, for Orlando, meant the beginning of their relationship.

As for Joana, no, she had not heard the request, which ended up happening a few days later.

A well-lived courtship, with motorcycle rides, camping and cinema mixed in, made all the feelings grow.

And of course, quite naturally, it was time for the next step, marriage.

August 2021, at their house, more precisely on the sofa, a marriage proposal was made, which brings us to the day of this story,

And that's when I met them, with their search for a photographer for a moment and consequent wedding meeting.

Despite already having an idea of what they were like, I was able to see that at the wedding meeting, it was at the engagement photoshoot that I got to know them better.

Those who say they know better, say they confirm first impressions, good people, good conversation and who are in line with everything.

They get along well, very well, they have complicity and love, you can see that, they don't need subtitles.

We started in Vila do Conde, at the church where they were going to celebrate their wedding and ended in Póvoa de Varzim, two special places for them.

Shortly after the session, we were on the big day.

The ceremony took place at the beautiful Monastery of Santa Clara, in Vila do Conde.

The party was at Quinta de Alvre, a farm that I like and enjoy visiting every year.

A beautiful day, a brutal sun, family, friends and lots of partying.

An excellent live music band, good music to listen to and different from the conventional.

And, continuing with different things, we even had football, something that is connected to Orlando and had to be connected to the wedding.

But the surprises didn't end here, a big one was reserved for the bride and groom's dance:
Great moment.

Another special moment, especially with the night it was, was the cutting of the cake, beautiful.

And so it was a great day, Joana and Orlando's day.

All that remains is to leave a little bit of that day in photographs, the wedding photographs.

See you soon...

“Enjoy the journey”
