This project is dedicated to the Nostalgia and the Branding of Craft Beer.
We, as a culture, have a love for storytelling. We want the story to be told over and over again. By the use of nostalgia, craft beer brands create a story and an emotional connection to the consumer. By carefully introducing evocative elements in new contexts, they can simultaneously provide both originality and continuity. In addition, the emotional bond these products create can initiate a strong link and increase brand endurance. For each of these craft beer designs, the labels have been deconstructed, isolating the elements that comprise the design. Through this deconstruction, the design elements are laid bare, allowing the viewer to analyze the type, texture, color, imagery that taken as a whole, create the nostalgic experience.
