Roots 101: African American Museum Website Rebrand

Museum Website Rebrand Brings The Roots 101 Experience To Your Screen
Background: Founded by Lamont Collins in 2019,  the Roots 101 African-American History Museum a 501 c nonprofit organization and place for visitors to see themselves in history, explore the African-American story, and to grow a greater understanding of the achievements, cultural contributions, and the experiences of African-Americans. The museum gets its name from the idea that the first-class taken on any subject in higher education is a 101, and applies that idea to the exhibits to create an immersive beginning to learning African-American history.

Our web team of 3 was tasked with creating a corresponding website that followed the rebrand guidelines created by our student-powered ad agency (Imagewest).

Challenge: Rebrand the website so that the visuals better relate to the brand and improve functionality and ease of access of the existing site's user experience.
The ideation process brought us from the before to the after.
