Our team at Shiseido created a mobile app with the purpose of helping people personalize their shopping experience by curating products that compliment their skin tone. There is also a feature to create a custom foundation with the help of a facial scan.
My major contributing role on the team focused on the design of Virtual Try On and the facial scan animation.
Users have the option of simply picking from a skin tone range or conducting a facial scan to determine a more accurate match.

The facial scan animation was created in After Effects and Lottie.
Lottie gives developers the ability to have the lines grow or recede responsively as the user may move out of focus during the scan.
Virtual Try On: Trying on different colors live, based on curated results, and the ability to filter to either more natural or bolder colors.
Virtual Try On: Comparing one shade or two shades at once.
Virtual Try On: Snapping a picture or comparison picture for later.
