If there's a couple I find it difficult to express in writing what I feel, it's undoubtedly Vanessa and Gui!

We met through a recommendation they made to Vanessa about my work, she couldn't find the right photographer.

We had the online meeting, which I don't like, but we easily realized that "we spoke the same language" and we got everything right.

On the next visit they made to Portugal, they paid me a visit to the studio and then, yes, I could see what they were like.

The empathy was immediate, the common tastes are some, namely skulls, tattoos and music 🙂

Yes, anyone who knows me knows this, I like skulls, tattoos and heavy music!

And they too!

But let's talk about their journey to marriage.

Both living in Paris, in April 2015 they ended up meeting, they worked in the same place.

When Gui met Vanessa, he bet she wouldn't stay at that job for more than a fortnight.

Gui lost the bet and, of course, he had to go buy a coffee.
It is easy to see that the bet was just an excuse to get to know her better.

They realized that they had many tastes in common and that maybe the friendship was going to be little.

This friendship grew and the walks around the city became more frequent and well spent.
On one of those walks, in a park in Paris, the first kiss appeared, but it was just that, a first kiss.

For some reason Paris is considered the city of love.
Their courtship began next to the Eiffel Tower, in August of the same year.

From there to the proposal, we have much more history and a beautiful daughter in between.

And, because the wedding would be another beautiful chapter in their lives, the request was missing.

On Vanessa's birthday, surrounded by family and friends, Gui made that request, the one that puts us on the day of this story.

Even before that day, on one of our visits to Natal, we took the opportunity to do something that Gui had “trauma”, the engagement photoshoot.

I was the one who told him about this in a bet and said: "Do you want to bet that in a little while you won't have that trauma and you'll even like it?"
(Yes, it's something that many couples, especially engaged couples, feel... but then realize that, done as I like to do it, it's fine)

Needless to say, but I say it anyway, I won that bet 🙂
We spent an excellent afternoon, lots of conversation, lots of excitement, we felt like longtime friends!

And, we had arrived at the wedding day, the day of this story.
It was a joy at their home, lots of parties, lots of family and friends!

They are made of this, family and friends, you can see and feel it!

The ceremony took place at the farm where the rest of the party would take place, Quinta da Morgadinha, always a good choice.

A beautiful ceremony, felt and full of light.
The party, that one, was tough, the bride and groom are given to it and the guests too, it could only be like that.

What a brutal day.

I end the story as I began, with difficulty expressing in writing what I feel for them.

Boys, don't change your way of being, I love people like that, without filters and free.

Yes, I know, I look alike, maybe that's why we bonded so much.

See you soon...
