Album Art | Jessica Hische's Style

The song ‘Tum Jab Paas’ by Prateek Kuhad, revolves around the themes of love, separation and longing. In Jessica Hische’s design style, the elements of youth are quite prevalent. Clouds with varying opacities and overlaps are distinctly visible in her works.

Kuhad’s genre, Indie Pop, is more or less relaxed, hence the colour palette is mostly dull with hints of bright colours (pinks), as seen in the music video of the song as well.

The mention of the word “Hawayein” (Winds) led me to focus on the sky and strokes that could depict some air movement. Some play of shadows has also been done in order to segregate the elements and serif font style has been used. Hische’s human illustrations have a more or less off-white skin colour.

Moreover, a lot of her works don’t seem to belong to the modern era, just like Kuhad, who also draws inspiration from Bob Dylan.
