Chaves, land of good people and heat, a lot of heat, but everything is overcome when we have couples like that.

Lisa and João are genuinely relaxed, loose and super natural.

Combining this with the rest of their way of being, we easily became friends and it's a pleasure to do weddings like this.

I met Lisa many years ago, at a bachelorette party I photographed for Licas (wedding guest).

The contact stayed and it was with joy that I saw Lisa's contact years later.

And that led me to be able to be here to tell their story.

They met at a birthday party in Castelo de Paiva, through a friend, the bridesmaid.

But that was just the “they met”, then the first kiss had to wait 6 years!

And it was at the same time, on the birthday of the same friend, the one who became the maid of honor.

The step/trick for that first kiss was at home, Lisa made lasagna for João, lasagna with dessert 🙂

But it wasn't easy, Lisa lived in Porto, João in Aveiro, there were many trips.

Personally, I don't feel sorry for João, at least he was enjoying his motorcycle trips 🙂 🙂

On a beautiful December day, on the edge of the Pont Neuf, in Paris, the marriage proposal came.

In a romantic city, the so-called “city of light”, their lives became even brighter.

Returning to the lands where one of them lived, it was precisely there that we held the singles session, in Aveiro.

The wedding was in Chaves, Lisa's land.

She got ready at her parents' house, he at the Casas Novas Countryside Hotel, where they were going to have the party afterwards.

And what a party!

It was a hot day, very hot, especially in Trás-os-Montes!

A wedding in their own way, with nothing “fake”, everything natural and loose.

Chaves seems far away, but to have a wedding like this, it seems like a 5-minute drive away, it's well worth it!

“Enjoy the journey”

See you soon...
