[Context]
The goal of the Digital Documentation Project from/through CEPT was to bring together individuals with a shared interest in Conservation, Documentation and History.

[Project USP]
In order to collect useable data and preserve records of the building's current condition, this program focused on applying modern technologies and methodologies to digitally document historic buildings.

Before any building can be preserved and recovered, the current condition of the site must be documented and understood by the conservation architect or firm. However, due to the intricate design features of ancient Indian architecture, manual documentation is very challenging and may not be accurate. Because it is quick, accurate, and expandable, digital documentation is extremely important in this situation.

We received in-depth instruction on how to map the pertinent data using GIS on a wide scale for historic documentation.

Our ability to digitally document the structure using only our phones or cameras and then further analyze it using Metashape was made possible by the introduction of Photogrammetry.

Being able to use a 3D laser scanner firsthand was a memorable experience. Unbearable interest persisted throughout the scans and after receiving the final findings.
The results from all of these procedures were very astounding and extremely exact, providing it a competitive advantage over manual documentation.
