MY CITY
MY CITY is a festival campaign brand, part of the A38 Ship, a Hungarian Party Ship. With every issue, MY CITY introduce a new city and a few talented underground artists from that region, showing off the different and amazing sides of the world. With the introduction of the new artists, they invite them to Budapest for an all night performance, where they can represent their city and show their music to the people who attend that weeks party on the A38 Ship.

This creative work was a University project supported by Budapest Metropolitan University, where the supervisor was the head graphic designer of the A38 Ship, who also created the Ships logo and also an older MY CITY identity.
The task was to give a new meaning and life to MY CITY, that would fit perfectly into the theme.
For the main city, I choose Oradea, a small but beautiful city in Romania, where I was born, so I can truly feel the meaning of the brand: sharing your city and music.

LOGO
The LOGO is supposed to represent the freedom and the colorfulness of MY CITY. The LOGO is a bird, reflecting the never ending traveling from city to city, seeing the whole world from the sky, visiting whatever culture and city that it wants to. The tilted form is a way to give an even more dynamic feel to the LOGO, it illustrates the bird just starting it's next quest as it is looking up to the sky. The main task was to create a logo that would be forever changing, as the city names alternates every time.
The four colors, adding a little spice and surprise to the branding, changes according to what fits the city the best.
The typography is the combination of a rusty, texture like font for "My City" that would represent an underground and party like feel. On the other hand, the actual city names have a bubbly and fun font - that was handmade by me. It shows the adventure and the fun of the brand, the jumping around from city to city.
Thank you for your attention!
Let's work together!
