Meditation Stool
This meditation stool served as my first experience with plywood bending. It's main feature is being able to switch the stands for a different posture angle and be easily transported.
The stool is made out of plywood and cork, being accompanied by a felt bag.
To fit the theme of meditation and make it more stylish, "peaceful mind" in Japanese has been engraved onto the cork.
The sued felt bag allows to carry all of the stool's component easily. Some elastic straps hold them together. The bag folds in half fast when it's full.
Bending the sitting plate was quite simple. You just need to make a wooden frame with the desired arch angle (keep it mind it springs back after bending), apply PU glue between the plates and clamp them onto the frame fast.
This plate has two holes beneath to attach one of the stands.
The second stand allows to have a flatter angle, it's all about personal preferences.
All of the wood had varnish applied on it, to make it smooth and shiny, but not on the cork (as it doesn't absorb and dry varnish correctly).
Thanks to Lucia for posing on the pictures
