OBJECTIVE
To revamp the Greater Vancouver Zoo’s Conservation Corner through experiential design. The aim was to educate and promote three endangered species in Canada: the Oregon Spotted Frog, the Western Painted Turtle, and the Taylor’s Checkerspot Butterfly.
BACKGROUND
The Conservation Corner was tucked into the corner of the zoo and needed a stronger presence. In collaboration with Wildlife Preservation Canada, the zoo wanted to put a greater emphasis on the reality of environmental impact in Canada.
OPPORTUNITY
To give these three animals a public voice; educating families about conservation and how the Greater Vancouver Zoo and Wildlife Preservation Canada are working to help these species.
SOLUTION
Three information panels that include an interactive design: a pull-down door to reveal a surprise!
