Design Trends 2023

Hey all! Im Mais and I am a Design Team Lead @Halo Lab, I'm  interested in analyzing and predicting the current trends in digital design for 2023. In order to make informed predictions, I am conducting a thorough analysis of various design elements such as color, typography, shapes, and sizes. I am looking at the work of top design agencies and the winning artworks in design competitions for inspiration and guidance. My goal is to create a guide to design trends for 2023 that will be useful for those working in fields such as graphic design, UI/UX design, illustration, and web design.

Gradients are the chameleons of the design world – they constantly evolve and reinvent themselves, and 2023 is no exception! This year, gradients are taking on a liquid, graphical look that is sure to make a splash. Whether you choose a subtle ombré effect or a bold, vibrant gradient, incorporating this trend into your designs is a winning decision that will keep your work fresh and on-trend.

Gigantic, interactive typography is taking the web by storm! Not only is it visually striking, but it also adds a level of playfulness and engagement that keeps users coming back for more. From subtle animations to full-blown interactive experiences, large typography is quickly becoming the go-to design choice for websites looking to stand out and capture attention from the get-go.

If you're a fan of minimalism and style, then you'll love the Helvetica and other Grotesque fonts.. With its sleek, modern aesthetic, Helvetica adds a touch of sophistication and professionalism to any project. Its clean, legible typeface ensures that your browsing experience is both seamless and enjoyable. Whether you're for personal or business purposes, Helvetica's refined, understated look will keep the focus on the essence of your business, rather than distracting from it.

Experience the future of web design with card-style layout! As the trend towards clean, modern aesthetics continues to grow, the card style has become increasingly popular. With its stylish rectangles featuring rounded corners, this design element adds a touch of visual interest and flair to your browsing experience. As you scroll through our site, you'll feel the overlap of cards one on top of the other, creating a sense of depth and movement.

Neo brutalism, or as I call it, paper style. Why paper style? Remember the cheap advertisements on poles that were printed in one color on colored paper. It looks like that, doesn't it? And this style is characterized by exactly the same applications in web design, it's a colored background with interesting and weird graphics. Compare it for yourself

Trend number six on our list is the creative use of mockups in design. These days, there are an increasing number of high-quality mockups available for purchase, including photorealistic and custom options. Adding a mockup to your design can give it a fresh, unique look that sets it apart from the competition. Mockups are often used on product-oriented sites to give users a realistic preview of what they can expect after downloading.

And of course, there is 3D. Like gradients, 3D objects have been gaining popularity year after year. In the era of web 3.0, this application is quite timely. In addition to the financial sphere and the world of cryptocurrency, 3D is also used on corporate websites with abstract linear illustrations
