Pen and Ink Perspective Illustration
This illustration, titled "Where Are We Now," was in the Pikes Peak State College: Spring 2022 Art Show.
I am very inspired by the human condition and my favorite way to depict that is through people interacting. This is a common theme in my personal work so I used this passion for human interaction as a starting point in this illustration, then I sketched a few concepts before landing on this one. I used pen, ink, and watercolor pen to create the grey. I really wanted to point all the attention toward the couple so I positioned everything to actually direct the eye straight toward the woman. This also adds to the symbolism of why I named the piece "Where Are We Now."
