Digital Broadsheet - Greed

DIGITAL BROADSHEET
Typography 2 | University Nebraska Lincoln | Fall 2022
This publication touches on the effects of greed on humanity through text from fables, manners, short stories, news articles, and song lyrics. It is organized and designed into an 8-page printed broadsheet publication. Fables and stories like The Monkey and the Cookies, The Dog and the Shadow, and The Giving Tree were gathered from Aesop’s Fables, which was published in 1867, helpingteaching.com and Shel Silverstein’s popular children’s picture book. Text on the inside poster was gathered from various news headlines and song lyrics from Jon Bellion’s song “New York Soul, Pt.ii” and Pink Floyd’s song “Money”. The manners segment has text taken from Miss Manner’s Wikipedia page and an interview with Smithsonian magazine she did in August 2011. Looking at the front cover the quote is from the Persian poet Rumi. Finally, the quotes on the back cover are from various news sites, these being nytimes.com, exbeliner.com, cnn.com, and the guardian.com. Hopefully, you enjoy!!
