The project is an attempt to reorganize of East-West Road in Wrocław. It considers both urban and architecture scale issues. The starting point is verification of the transportation system in the city center. Project assumes to eliminate transit role of route and an important element of the concept is to implement tram traffic into the underground tunnel. The next step involves placing buildings in the current Kazimierza Wielkiego street space, referring to the pre-war urban structure. This action aim is to merge the Old Town which is currently splitted by busy road and the restoration of the right proportions of the public spaces in the center. An important element of the study is to restore the historic passage "Przejście Pokutnicze", as the only one pedestrian passage crossing urban block in this area of the city. The architectural part of the project proposed to adopt one of the newly designed buildings for the purposes of new town hall. The program of the object was determined by analyzing the current structure of the municipal office. It was important to allow easy access to the new building by public transport - tram stop was provided under the building, and bus stop was designed in the building shape.
