Brief summary
Focused on branding and strategy development, this project aims to create a strong, cohesive, visual identity for a platform or institution. Brand strategies must be developed to guide the design process. The visual identity guide should contain enough information so that it can be handed over to any designer to work on the brand - it must include all the necessary visual assets and the tone of the brand in order to capture the essence of the brand successfully.

The year is 2094 and humans are an inter-planetary species with colonies on planets and moons across the milky-way. The problem: conventional space travel takes an extremely long time. DASH aims to bridge the gap between worlds with affordable, high speed, commercial space travel. This service fills the same niche as bullet trains do on the original home world of Earth. A futuristic and forward thinking graphic approach was taken for this brand strategy. Virtual reality plays an important role within the spacecraft as passengers are able to continue living their augmented lives while on long voyages.
Personality inspiration: David Bowie
At his essence, David Bowie is an artist and performer, obsessed with pushing the boundaries of experience and bringing everyone along for the ride. He stands for authenticity, creativity and experimentation and is focused on building rich, textured experiences. He has the ability to lift you out of the dull reality of day to day life.​​​​​​​
Visual identity: Futuristic brutalism
A style to fit the accelerationism of the brand and transport the customer into the future of travel. Galactic textures inspired by nebulas and galaxies and the general richness of texture found in space.
We are committed to creating experiences that will turn years into months and days into hours. The immense kilometers between worlds will literally fly by as you are transported into an otherworldly experience made possible through the uniqueness and beauty of the space and stars.
Logo clear space
To give the logo necessary preference in legibility, no other elements are to be placed within the demarcated area.
Signage and wayfinding
-  A bold logo accompanied by the location’s station name greets passengers as they enter the terminus of each colony.
-  A big banner for general location and wayfinding in larger communal areas.
-  Small wall-mounted arrows that give specific locations down narrower passages.
