For this assignment we were tasked with telling a photo story based on the theme of identity. 

I began by first brainstorming what identity means to me:

The aspect of identity I settled on was body image/appearance, more specifically the female experience with body image. 

Then I began planning my shots and storyline...

The story I wanted to tell was that of a girl who feels self-conscious and becomes envious of another girl and what she looks like. Then it would switch the perspective of the other girl who experiences the same thing. The idea is that everyone wants what they don't have and everyone experiences moments of insecurity. We shouldn't let it consume us. We shouldn't let it become the thing that defines us.
