Drawing inspiration from Jannis Paetzold, I selected some working images to print and experiment with collage. Using a craft knife, I freehand cut the main subject of my images out, layering them onto an image focussed more on landscape. Both sticking cutout shapes onto an uncut paper and cutting shapes from an image to layer underneath images really made me aware of manipulating my compositions.

I really enjoyed experimenting with collage, however I don't think i will use this technique in my outcomes as I want to keep my images as little manipulated as possible instead of changing the possible meaning or interpretation of my work.

I think that experimenting with collage has really helped me to narrow down the range of outcomes I am thinking of creating, although I really enjoyed manipulating my images, i want to keep them raw and the compositions unedited so i don't think I will pursue and keep experimenting with college and this type of image manipulation.
