Persian Reflection

(Yalda Night) is one of the most ancient Persian festivals annually celebrated on December 21 by Iranians. Persians celebrate the last night of autumn and the longest night of the year as the renewal of the sun and the victory of light over darkness.
This photo consists of the elements of this ancient celebration pomegranates, nuts, and sweets in combination with the Sama mystical dance which is a dance that allows the dancer to become focused in the inner spiritual world of themself by whirling movements and as the result become able to connect with the universe. This photo has been taken into special consideration by experts in nationally renowned photo exhibitions.
Persian Reflection - 2021

Iran is ranked within the 10 oldest countries throughout the world with a rich culture and warm-blooded people. My home town, Shiraz, where the Persepolis is located in is one of the tourist attractions, not only within the country but in the middle east, and absorbs thousands of tourists annually. Pieces gathered in this collection reflect the dynamic culture, colorful lifestyle, authenticity, and nuances of Persian art. This art can be visibly seen in every spot of my ancient city from the hand-painted storytelling tiles in Persian architecture to the handwoven precious carpets. The Persian myriad celebrations, such as (Yalda) are our intangible cultural heritage and a reflection of Persian art.
