Ecosystem Restoration - UNDP

Learning for Nature is a premier e-learning programme by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). This programme connects biodiversity policymakers, change-makers, and on-the-ground subject matter experts to promote biodiversity conservation and facilitate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. With an international partnership, it came up with a Massive Open Online Course of Ecosystem Restoration to develop a step-by-step ecosystem restoration plan and apply effective restoration solutions in national and subnational context.

I edited their videos of the course. The best part was for the first time I got an opportunity to work with international people. I was directly in touch with their New York office and coordinated everything with their team as well as other editors who were working in other languages Spanish and French. I also pushed myself to edit their french video as well. Some of the videos are here.

This is how the process from virtual meeting to making a final product from totally different time zone looks like. In the duration of four months it became our habit to meet on zoom, get files through different file sharing platforms, edit on our own, talk on skype and then share the final product on dropbox. It started with a call of 4-5 people from Egypt, UK, New York and it made a product which is getting watched by the whole world and serving sustainable development goals.
