This storage unit is an illusion based furniture design. It has the illusion of a protruding rectangular box created by a laser cutter. But upon closer inspection, it is seen to be a 2D dimensional piece. 

The catch to this unit is that, it can be interpreted in a number of ways as it does serve the purpose of storage which is the ability of a 3D object
