Primitive Boccioni

primitive boccioni
A freestanding found-object sculpture that comprises of seven components of found wood, metal and organic materials from Savannah, Primitive Bocciioni depicts a naturalistic and dynamic continuity in motion. Different parts are kinetically (steel wire) and chemically (epoxy and keadable epoxy) connected, manipulated, carved, and painted so that joints are de-emphasized and an overall unified quality is achieved. The focal point of the piece is the expression of movement and fluidity. The idea of experimenting motion is inspired by Futurist Umberto Boccioni's Unique Forms of Continuity in Space. Where the master's work was made of bronze, mine is humbly primitive. Its dimension is 22" (H) x 18" (L) x 3" (W).
