Book Covers: Principles of Layout

Brief:
Using the 8 Principles of Layout, create 8 individual Book Cover Designs. This will include the front and back of a book cover along with the spine.

The designs should reflect the student’s understanding of all previous design fundamentals and exercises and should be a powerful play of layout along with typography in black and white only.

The front of the book should have the title (eg. Figure & Ground) along with the student's name and the back page should have text which is a ‘personal’ reflection of their understanding of the said design principle.

Design elements may be used on the back of the cover but none in the front.
The back of the cover should have a barcode, publication logo and other
mandatories that are seen on book covers.

Care should be taken to follow the grid and not break away from the grid in any of the book covers.
