CAPTURED COLOR is a series of photo essays which aim to portray color through the use of black-and-white photography. This is done by creating narratives which are based on a common emotional association with a particular color (eg. red = love). One book is dedicated to one color, and each book must have only one author. The narrative must also be told without the use of words.
"Introvert" is an exploration of the color purple.

The Author's Narrative
Introverts are often initially perceived as cold and detached. Because they spend most of their time alone, others assume that they do not like people – which is not always the case. In fact, some introverts tend to be sentimental when it comes to the people who are dear to them; they are just not very good at showing it.
Like the color purple, their personalities are comprsied of both cold (blue) and warm (red) characteristics. However, a lot of people tend to see only the former. This book aims to change that notion.
An introvert's disposition is not blue – it is purple.
