MPAN - The Hope Narratives

Inspired by the research of internationally renowned ambiguous loss expert Sarah Wayland, I conceived the original idea and concept for the Hope Narratives in 2021. One year later and after 3 months research and development by the team at WhiteGREY we launched the cards ahead of National Missing Persons Week 2022.

The Hope Narratives are a world-first therapeutic language project created to help, and unite, the families and loved ones navigate ambiguous loss, which is among the most painful kinds of loss.

Each of the 145 cards is a piece of modular language that gives voice to a unique aspect of having a missing loved one, and connects with other cards to create over 1.4 million Hope Narratives.
The Hope Narratives gathered 22 million in earned reach, 170+ unique pieces of coverage, and an 800% increase in searches of ambiguous loss.
