The "Cherish Algal Reef Referendum" is the first referendum on ecological conservation initiated by the people in Taiwan. The Taiwan Environmental Information Association launched the "Algal Reef Referendum" website, which collects a number of controversial points such as ecological conservation, energy transition, and administrative procedures to help the public understand the opinions of pros and cons, as well as possible impacts.
