Korai-ji, A Korean Buddhist Temple in Dōsenbō, Kyoto Prefecture!
A few days ago, I went with some friends to the Dōsenbō area of Kyoto Prefecture. It’s in the mountains east of Kasagi and at an elevation of 500 meters. Korai-ji is a Korean Buddhist zen temple and colourful and radiates tranquillity and peacefulness because of its location.
Impressive is the massive bell hanging in the shōrō. The bell weighs 7500 kilograms, is 2.57m in height and has a diameter of 1.98 meters. The bell weighs 7500 kilograms, is 2.57 meters in height and has a diameter of 1.98 meters.
