Identity for cafe Montpensier

Montpensier is a cafe with a feminine character and a pinch of love.
The brand team approached us to create an identity. The main task was to create such a corporate identity that would distinguish the institution from the surroundings of an industrial city. At the time of the start of work, the cafe was already operating on the main square in Berezniki. The main ideas left after the briefing are "light femininity", "spa for the head" and "a pinch of love", and elements of minimalism, freshness and sustainability should appear at the heart of the style.
We based the identity on the image of modern Madame Montpensier: she knows everything about the small joys of life, lives with an open heart and perceives the world as a field for adventure. Therefore, instead of a high hairstyle, our Montpensier wears a bob, instead of a crinoline, comfortable trousers, and her beloved bicycle replaced the carriage. Signature graphics: Montpensier lollipop as a reference to the famous sweet; monogram - a reference to the brand; the flower is a reference to the character's romantic nature.
The typography is based on the atmospheric font Factor A. We left a wide field for creativity - style-forming elements sometimes form a fancy pattern, sometimes they work independently; illustrations with the main character tell a whole story; the playful mood of the identity encourages to abandon the standard formats.
