ITC Bodoni is a Didone Modern serif typeface with a very high contrast form. Orignally designed by Giambattista Bodoni in 1798, it was inspired by the aesthetics defined by Baskerville. I designed this type specimen to be relatively traditional in its print form, but by enlarging the type it helps to focus on the form of the letters and appreciate the design more. The typeface has three opitmised sizes (6pt, 12pt and 72pt) and I used the 72pt version throughout the booklet as it was more appropriate to a display format. The colours used were selected to add a depth and show how the typeface works on multiple levels with light and dark colours.
