Craft based projects

Working as a designer in India, I had an opportunity to develop products as 
I  worked with various craft focussed groups.  While some of these 
projects have been a part of internship programs, 
few others were developed for a retail store.
A range of lacquerware accessories for kids was developed by artisans in Mysore district. The range was further marketed via the retail store "Mother earth" in Bangalore.
A range of home accessories were developed by the skilled artisans of Mysore. The craft is known for the techniques used by artisans in sculpture and the decorative for inserting pieces of contrasting, often coloured materials like ivory shells, mother-of-pearl, horn and sandalwood into depressions in a rosewood object to form ornament or products.
Design project in wood furniture as part of Industrial training and academic learning.
Home decor and garden accessories developed in granite and softstone, in southern part of India. This was conducted as part of  the diploma project .
