BLURRED LINES- Styling

As a part of our styling assignment we were asked to style sarees with a theme inspired by a social cause. We explored on Androgynous fashion and its importance in creating a society that isn't constrained by the gender binary. Much or this progress is also the result of the LGBT rights movements. The ideas or femininity and masculinity become blurred, making fashion almost a political statement that is a tool for social change and not simply a trend. A saree drape is open to innovation. It has the freedom to take form of many silhouettes allowing people to explore their identities and not conforming to a gender binary through their clothes.
