These are some of the books that focus highly on how women are portrayed in certain ya fantasy books, including these 4 books. These are what my artwork for collections is based on and there are some other great books like these that i had chosen to focus on. These will be displayed on a podium on the day of the exhibition, along with some bookmarks created to direct the viewer to the page in which i had chosen to focus my attention on for these illustrations. The books go in-depth and enter a whole new world showcasing how women are treated and how much they are portrayed by relying on a man. However, my drawings are one of many that showcase how different books use the power of storytelling to capture the readers attention in order to make a point. Some of the image will follow, in order to give my artwork the justice it deserves. Some of the final, hung prints will be displayed in the hallway, in the university. 

These designs are compared to the books that were written, where i had the ideas of final products, having read each book and having a peak interest at how women were treated in the book and how i could portray them in print form. In showing the books that the inspiration came from really enables me to create a opinion on the images as a whole. The first initial idea was to create 4 prints on a collection of fairy statues my mother had collected, but using my skills and my knowledge, had decided to come up with the treatment of women in many books over the years and how it affects girls today.
