Creative Challenge: Basics Done Right

Adobe Stock Creative Challenge
Announcing the next creative challenge theme:

Basics done right

Sunsets, flowers, mealtime and pets are all common subjects for stock photographers, illustrators, and filmmakers. But why do some visuals stand out more than others? For this week’s challenge, find a fresh twist on a familiar subject and use all your skill to create content that’s a balance of delight and basics done right.

A few ideas to get you started:
• Play with lighting and angles to present your subject from an unusual perspective.
• Capture your subject in an unexpected setting. For example, photograph vine-ripened tomatoes inside a straw hat rather than a bowl on a kitchen counter.
• Create a series of images or videos that tell a story through changes in the details from one to the next.
• For vectors and illustrations, repurpose elements that you've already made in refreshing ways.
• Consider copy/space and how buyers may use your visuals.
