For the fabric dyeing and embellishment coursework, explorations were carried out
for processes like tie and dye , batik resist dyeing and embroidery work on materials like fabric and paper.
Batik resist dyeing
A resist dyeing technique originated from Indonesia in which wax is applied onto parts of fabric where the dye penetration could be resisted.
The explorations were carried out on paper and fabric.

Cat says...Embroidered Patch
Cat says is a self designed character which developed during the unpredictable times of Covid and served as a visual outlet for expressing everyday crisis. Therefore I decided to embroider it as a part of my patchwork collection for an assignment.

Thread: Anchor Threads
Stitches: Satin, stem stitch
