A general overview on Frutiger Typeface

ITA Il progetto è stato realizzato durante il corso di Comunicazione visiva del Master in Graphic Design di IED Milano. Nasce dalla volontà di raccontare e analizzare la storia e le principali caratteristiche del carattere tipografico Frutiger. L'editoriale è stato stampato su carta naturale da 120 gr e rilegato a punto metallico. La griglia modulare utilizzata è a tre colonne.

ENG The project was realized during the Visual Communication course at the Master Degree in Graphic Design at IED Milan. The aim is to tell and to analyze the history and the different properties of Frutiger Typeface. The editorial project was printed on a natural paper (120gr) and assembled whit a staple binding. The modular grid is divided into 3 columns.

ITA Il progetto è suddiviso in cinque capitoli, il primo analizza tramite una timeline le varie tappe storiche del font, il secondo ne descrive i principali utilizzi, il seguente si sofferma sulla vita di Adrian Frutiger, creatore del font. Infine le successive sezioni analizzano più nel dettaglio le caratteristiche tecniche del carattere tipografico.

ENG The project has five chapters, the first one analyses the different historical stages with a timeline, the second describes the font uses, the next one talks about Adrian Frutiger life, creator of Frutiger typeface. The following sections analyze the many technical properties of the font.
