Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement which was started in the Heian period when flowers were made for religious decoration. Later, it was instead used to adorn the living room of a traditional Japanese home.
Naomi owned a traditional studio that incorporate her partner's pottery space. In the early morning, a flower market is a place where you can find her picking up not only the perfect flower but the flawed one too. She kindly performed the Ikebana and introduced us to the equipment.
As a floral expressionist artist, her love for Ikebana inspired her to spread out the culture and the new idea of the flower arrangement. Hence Naomi opens an Ikebana workshop that contained a variety of nationalities and generation students. Due to the pandemic, people started to appreciate nature more, leading to the number of younger generation attending the Ikebana class increasingly.
