Competition for a landmark

Competition Entry for designing a landmark as well as solving the traffic in two squares in the city of Damascus.

Partners: Najwa Ali Nizam - Rahaf Nasser - Maria Alyasaa.

My role: Participating in the concept development
              Visualization "Lumion render"
Al-Sabboura square
In this design, we won third place.

Design approach: We wanted to engage all the five senses in the experience.
The form is in an organic paste spiraling around a wind tower.
Since the location of the square is on the edge of the city of Damascus and the countryside, we made an organic spiral representing the countryside and embracing the wind tower which represents the city.

Yaafour square
In this design, we had an honorable mention.

Design approach: For this square, we wanted to create a different experience for the passengers, which changes depending on the road they take.
The form is an abstraction of three famous Arabian horses, that is because we were asked to make a landmark for the adjacent horsemanship center.
