Arch是利用壓克力圓管一體成形的吧檯椅,靈感來自於建築結構中常出現的拱形,以及現代建築中的有機曲線。透過壓克力與金屬支撐結構的搭配達到椅腳結構的穩固,呈現出簡約俐落的線條。壓克力的高透光度帶給人一種時尚輕盈的感受,皮革椅面的異材質搭配與微微包覆的椅背,更提供了乘坐的舒適性。
The Arch barstool is a sleek and simple design crafted from integrally formed acrylic round tube, inspired by the arches commonly found in architectural structures and the organic curves of contemporary design. The intergration of acrylic and metal support structures creates the chair's stability and simplicity. In addition, its high light transmittance provides a fashionable and lightweight feel. The stool features a leather-covered seat and small backrest, providing a comfortable sitting experience.​​​​​​​
Scenario
吧檯椅的尺較一般大,容易讓空間產生擁擠的感覺,壓克力材質特有的通透感,讓Arch於室內空間中也不會有佔空間的感覺。簡約卻不失趣味的線條,在光線照耀下形成特別的光影變化。
Bar stools are typically larger in size compared to other chairs, which can make a space feel cramped. However, using transparent acrylic material for the stool seat allows light to pass through, brightening the area and creating interesting shadows when hit by sunlight.
精心設計的結構
用於支撐椅面的X型結構,讓椅面、金屬與壓克力的異材質結合可以更加穩固,座椅外側的金屬結構則能有效分散乘坐時的重量,增加整體結構耐重程度。
The X-shaped structure employed to support the seating surface enhances the stability of the stool by providing a sturdy foundation for the metal bar and seat. The outer metal components of the stool effectively distribute weight during sitting, improving the weight capacity of the bar stool. This design ensures the stool is durable and able to withstand regular use without compromising its quality.

在發想階段,我用紙模做造型上的調整,並思考椅面和椅身的結合方式
During the ideation phase, I made paper models to optimize the shape and started considering the structure.

1:2 Acrylic model​​​​​​​
為了確保椅身結構的強度,我製作了1:2比例的模型。在過程中發現太薄的壓克力容易因為手工加工時的震動而斷裂,因此在最終的設計選擇了10mm的壓克力管,並在側邊加上了強化的結構。
To ensure that the structure could support body weight, I created a 1/2 scale model. During the process, I discovered weak points that could break off while cutting, so I decided to use 10mm acrylic tubes, which were relatively thick, for the final design. Additionally, I reinforced the stability of the stool by retaining some acrylic on the sides.
