The goal of this project is to create a tape dispenser.

The tape dispenser is designed for comfort when on the desk.
The Concept

The Skulk is a tape dispenser designed for desk workers who want to use tape to stick documents or anything else on their desk to reduce the amount of space on the table and eliminate the problem of not being able to find the tape dispenser.

DESIGN  PROCESS

First, I started with planning and started researching the product and the problems encountered in the use of the products available on the market.  Then I started by sketching different shapes as options to continue with this project.
SKETCH
These are the 3 designs I am interested in continuing with this project.
The first and second pictures are the designs that focus on the problem of using space. The third image focuses on the ergonomics of using the device.
I picked 1 out of 3 designs that interested me to develop my idea. And I started to study the workings of modeling.

The Target Group
The product is designed for people who usually work on desks or office worker.

Context
This tape dispenser is perfect for placing in the corner of a table. This product has an ergonomic design, which you reach out from the side of the corner of the table. You can use the tape cutter right away.
THE PRODUCT FEATURES & TECHNICAL DETAILS
For the overall dimension, it is 76 millimeters high, 79 millimeters long, and 70 millimeters wide. which is the right size, not too big nor too small.
This is exploded view of a skulk tape dispenser. The body part and lock part are made of ABS plastic, which is produced by injection molding. And in the body part, there is a silicone sheet which is for attaching the tape cutter to the corner of the table. And in the body, there is a silicone sheet which is for attaching the tape cutter to the corner of the table. In principle, the design is designed so that the tape cutter is always at the right hand corner, and when exerted to pull the tape cutter, it will never come off for sure because the back of the tape cutter is exposed. to cover the corner of the table.
I have learned from doing many projects. I have studied the behavior of people using tape dispensers and have tried to do it to study the design mechanism.
NEXT
Finally, in the future, I would like to develop this project further with more colors and further shape development.
