This is my entry in Perfect World's CSGO peripheral creative design contest, for which I created a mouse pad pattern.
I think the character movement on the game's logo through the generations is iconic and symbolic, so I created a design around it. The game has been around for 20 years, from the 1.6 generation to CS:S and now CSGO, accompanying the growth of one group of players after another. The game's graphics, weapons, and maps are constantly changing, but CS is still the same CS! The scattered polygonal pieces and glowing weapons around the characters allude to the fact that the game is a virtual world that looks real but is actually virtual. Also symbolizes the succession and evolution of the game through the generations.
