Just a few hundred meters from Noting Hill station there is one of the most iconic open, antiques and vintage, markets in London. Dating back to the 19th century, Portobello is one of London’s oldest markets and had provided the setting for the 1999 movie Notting Hill, starring Hugh Grant . Taking place every week, and with Saturday to be the main event day, is visited by pretty much every tourist in the capital.
There is easy access to the market with he nearest Tube station being Ladbroke Grove on the Hammersmith and City line. Notting Hill Gate Tube station is a 10-15 minute walk from the market, and is on the Central, Circle and District lines.
