Together for over 15 years and already with a beautiful baby girl, this step was missing, getting married!
From a simple “we go to school together” we moved on to a beautiful wedding.
Today they are living in Luxembourg and they already have a beautiful life together, but it all had a beginning.
Well, Cátia and Rui went to school at the same time, but it was just that, a coincidence.
When they really met, it was in the 10th grade, at the college of Gaia, introduced by a mutual friend.
Areinho de Avintes, land where they both live and place of many walks, the first kiss took place.
From the first kiss to the courtship it didn't take long, they knew well what they wanted.
September 8, 2016, on a walk in the port, they decided to make what was already evident, dating.
They exchanged engagement rings and took the date to later have another reason to celebrate 🙂
The marriage proposal was made without counting and without a very elaborate plan.
Since they were going to baptize Larissa (the little girl), they decided to take advantage of the moment and also have the wedding.
I still remember the day they found out, because the contract they had with me was for baptism.
One day, in my studio, they say in a joking tone:
“Pedro, I don't know if it's important for you to know, but there's a change in the service, it's also our wedding” 🙂
We lined up details, changed what we had to change to beautify the moment even more, and we just had to wait for the day.
The day was forced to postpone, but as I always say: "it's because it had to be like this"
And that puts us in February 2022, an unusually sunny February day.
They got ready in different houses but wanted to go to the wedding together.
We took advantage of the situation to do a “first look” at the bride's house, a beautiful and emotional moment.
From there they went to the church together, in a big arrival with the Renault 4L that transported them during the day.
Yes, the same Renault 4L we used in the singles session.
They got married in the Church of Avintes, it had to be, the land of both.
They also didn't “run away” from Avintes for the party, they went to Quinta das Camélias.
And what a good choice! A beautiful farm, super organized, good and attentive people, really good choice.
The day, as I said, was sunny but that was the “minus” of the party, the family and the guests was the “plus”.
Lots of fun, lots of animation, friendship and love.
It was also a day for us, the team, to see friends and meet new ones.
Finally, I leave a few words for the bride and groom.
Cátia and Rui, I already knew you from weddings you were invited to and from work I've done with you, today was even more personal.
You are good people, simple and uncomplicated, easy and pleasant to do work with you,
The day went your way and yes, you reached the end tired but happy, you could see it right in your face.
Thank you for everything and I hope that, on some of your visits to Portugal, you stop by the studio for a coffee.
