One of my master's project on 2021 for printmaking subject which I apply two different technique which are relief print (linocut) and stencil
KOI FISH as my main subject matter as it is one of Japanese symbolism which symbolize good fortune, abundance and perseverance. Why Japan? Because it is one of my dream place since I was a little kid and I am amazed with their culture and behavior
I also decided to print them on three canvas (size 60cm X 27cm) with different composition. Colors chosen are sky blue (pond), green (water lily pads) and black (koi fish). Also I choose chinese scroll ancient style for my main inspiration as it can be hanged on the wall or it can be rolled.
