Apprehension
A sudden gust of wind rustling the bramble as darkness descends, a small dog growls and bears its teeth, long forgotten stairs that creak with tension and rot, the feeling of being watched, spilled berry juice that strangely looks like blood, or lost on a mountain highway in a dense fog are all random instances of unease that contribute to this series. Some are obvious, others are not, but I think these fragments work together to create a kind of anxiousness one might feel after waking from the type of dream that verges on the edge of a nightmare.
