Some years, Lake Erie freezes over HARD. This causes ice flows that act like fast-moving tectonic plates, dredging up sand and rock from the shoreline into mountains that a careful trekker can climb.
The Kinzua Bridge in Mt. Jewett, Pennsylvania was once the tallest freestanding bridge in the world. While it was eclipsed at one time, it was nonetheless a technological marvel that enjoyed landmark status after its useful life had ended. The bulk of the bridge blew down at the turn of the century, but parts of the structure still stand and draw visitors to this day.
The Spartansburg, Pennsylvania is home to many Amish and people of the Mennonite faith, and many old, nearly antique structures still serve a useful function to this day. The water flow in this image helps to show movement, and the cross exposure of the image (in conjunction with amber colored monochrome) evokes the look of a photograph from long ago.

On a foggy morning in late 2014, Family Services of Warren County hosted the Kwik Fill sponsored Fall Family Five race, a 5K for everyone. This image was used in most of the subsequent marketing materials for the race.
