These photographs are stills of videos I created in June 2021, capturing moments during a series of performances where I move materials on a slate backdrop. The videos have a mesmerising rhythmic and meditational quality as the slate, wood, water introduced creates gentle sounds as they are moved. These photographs capture visually some of those moments where the composition of colour, texture and light surprised me.
