Experiment Project: Quarantine Woes
This project was particularly special because it took place in very unfortunate circumstances. About a week after being given the project prompt, I had unfortunately contracted the Delta strain of COVID-19. Under CDC guidance and university policy, I was whisked off my college campus and put into quarantine. For the next two weeks, all of my plans had been horribly ruined. Angry and frustrated by my isolation, I had strangely become artistically inspired. I had changed my project idea entirely to creatively reflect my quarantine experience via light painting and long exposure photography. In this body of work, I reflect on my psyche, my eating habits, and the extraneous need to work with the outside world while trapped in this liminal space. This project kept me sane for those two weeks.
