Preparing for the battle

Wouter and Tine serve the family signature dish "De Goedendag" in restaurant De Vierijzer in Moregem. This is a local meat delicacy with which the couple has been successful for years and now also has bigger plans for it. In order to launch "De Goedendag" beyond the borders of the Flemish Ardennes as well, they are starting a new concept restaurant Duel.
Our assignment? To develop a brand that matches the sturdy image of "De Goedendag" on the one hand, and to help the customer put the concept restaurant on the market on the other.










Let's fire up this brand

At Duel, meat lovers enjoy a true meat and fire spectacle. We translated this into a visual branding where flames, chains and nails spread like wildfire through all house style carriers: from the purified logo to the signage and menus in the restaurant. These menus are made of matt laminated paper to avoid grease stains. The glossy relief print of the letters contrasts nicely with the leather holder.

Let the battle begin

A stampede of visitors for the opening night? Teasing social visuals, press communication, online and offline advertisements, flyers and matchboxes to hand out in the streets are all part of the communication plan to make Ghent and its surroundings excited about Duel.
