Folk Tales for the Ever Curious
Book cover design based on Hans Christian Andersen's tale of 'The Little Match Girl'. The concept was to create a book that resembles a box of matches, hence the decision to use a sleeve. The book inside has to be slid out, as the sleeve does not open, to reveal three matches. That's the only design that was placed on the front cover of the book, symbolising the girl's last three wishes. It was kept very simple, minimalist and the message open to interpretation of each reader.
