Impossible Composite
Project Background
Our objective was to place a subject in a new environment using non destructive editing methods. We used photoshop and learned how to correct the light source, film grain, focus, edge sharpness, blur, and color contrast for this project.
Design Process
First, I made a mind map to get ideas flowing. Once I had an idea of what I wanted to do, I went to unsplash.com to find royalty free images I could create my composite with. I looked for pictures that had the light source coming from the same spot so it would look more realistic.
Final Composite
Once I found the right pictures, I brought them into photoshop and made masks and matched the shadows and light sources. I had to flip the image of the hot air balloon to make the light source come from the same angle as the rest of composite. I added filters such as grain, to blend all of the photos together.
